Florence “Honey” Swiff

Florence “Honey” Swiff, born June 19, 1923 in Long Island, New York, died February 4, 2012. Preceded in death by beloved husband of 61 years, Hanan “Doc” Swiff, her parents, Faye and Morris Heller and much loved daughter in law, Darlene Swiff.

Survived by her loving family, sons David Swiff of Clear Lake, Jerry Swiff of Galveston; grandchildren Helen Swiff-Goodman and Jason Goodman of Bellaire, Texas, Kim and David Swartz of League City, Texas and Honni and Nick Garcia of Houston, Texas.

Great grandchildren, Grant, Ava and Sloan Goodman of Bellaire, Texas. Ethan, Evan and Gavin Swartz of League City, Texas.

Brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Phyllis Heller of Daytona Beach, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rabbi James Kessler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Temple B’nai Israel.
