LEAGUE CITY —Della Louise Helpenstill, 81, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother of League City, Texas, formerly of LaMarque, Texas passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her residence. Dell was born on October 5, 1930 in Livingston, Texas to Clarence and Susie Johnson. She enjoyed 52 wonderful years of marriage to her husband and soul mate Gene, who preceded her in 2000 and parents, Clarence and Susie Johnson and sister, Vivian Bennison. Family and friends will remember her optimistic outlook on life and her wonderful sense of humor, which she maintained through her last days.

Dell is survived by her daughter, Judy Helpenstill, son, Johnny Helpenstill and wife, Lynn, brother, C.C. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Dorothy, 4 grandchildren, Scott Helpenstill and wife Terri, Matt Helpenstill and wife Nicole, Tricia Clement and Clint Oshel and wife Tanya, 7 great-grandchildren, Jordan Oshel, Brock Helpenstill, Laine Helpenstill, Macy Helpenstill, Tyler Helpenstill, Garrett Helpenstill and Paige Helpenstill, numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Scott Funeral Home.
