Glinda Daphine McGlothin

Glinda Daphine McGlothin, 48, was born November 27, 1963 in Houston, TX to Jimmy Light and Verlene McGlothin. She heard the voice of the Heavenly Father calling her name and she obediently answered on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Christus St. John Hospital in Nassau Bay, TX.

At the time of her death she was employed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice at Galveston for over 15 years and part-time for Domino’s. She loved her mirror and lipstick; she was known by her friends as “Beautiful”.

Glinda leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Morgan Mc Glothin and her grand daughter, Riley McGlothin; her devoted mother, Verlene McGlothin; her sister, Andra McGlothin Courrett (Edwin); nieces; Brittney McGlothin and Kimberly Courett; nephew, Edwin Courett; great nephew, Bryson McGlothin; an aunt and two great aunts; devoted friends, Dee Dee Reed, Evelyn Dalton, Claudia Williams and Lori Holiday; and a host of cousins and other relatives friends and co-workers.

A Public Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by A Life Celebration at 11:00 AM. Both services will be held at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX 77591. Reverend Michael Dwyer will be the Celebrant. Family will receive guest in the Carnes Funeral Home Banquet facility.
