GALVESTON — The University of Texas Medical Branch helps patients and their families cope with the major life changes as a result of a stroke.

James H. Steadham

James met a “beautiful lady”, Barbara English; they fell in love and became husband and wife on April 22, 1961, in Galveston, Texas. God blessed them with one son, Bobby Steadham.

He served his family, church and community with dedication and tenacity. On Wednesday, January 18, 2012, God in His infinite wisdom, called James home. Although his loving spirit, sense of humor and his very presence will be missed, we accept, with Christian submission to God’s will to call him home. His gusto, outgoing personality, lover of life and all who crossed his path, having never met a stranger, will always be remembered.
