Upon Further Review: What’s next for Texans?

Do you expect the Houston Texans to beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in the AFC Divisional playoff game?

As I argued in Sunday’s column, I think the Texans really won the hearts of a lot of football fans in the Houston area. If you didn’t care about the Texans before they beat the Cincinnati Bengals in their first playoff appearance, you probably care a little more.

If you were a casual Texans fan before, you might have gone out to buy some merchandise after the game.

Dare I say a few lifelong Dallas Cowboys fans might have even converted to Texans tolerance or even fandom?

I’m not sure how to gauge Galveston County’s support of the Texans, but this is your chance to let the rest of our readers know how you feel.

If you can’t get enough of the Texans, and you think they’re going all the way to the Super Bowl after beating Baltimore and either the Patriots or Broncos, let me know about it.

If you love the Texans but don’t think they’ll beat the Ravens and their top-rated defense, let me hear you.

If you’re a Cowboys fan and wish these Texans fans would just get a grip, tell us.

Heck, if you’re just plum sick of hearing about the Texans and can’t wait until they lose so you can move on with your casual affection for sports, voice that, too.

These are new adventures for all of us around here, and I’m just trying to get a feel for where you stand.

As for me, I think it’ll be extremely tough for the Texans to win on the road in Baltimore. The Ravens defense eats rookie quarterbacks alive. The Texans have struggled at times to win on the road this year, and the Texans’ defense wasn’t exactly dominating over Baltimore in their first 29-14 loss in October.

But I will say this, if the Texans pull off another wild turn in this miracle-laden season and somehow upset the Ravens, they’ve got a great chance of taking it all the way to the Super Bowl.

Then, how will you feel?
