Cause of house fire accidental

DICKINSON — A house fire that possibly started by a gas furnace in a garage displaced residents of the home, but authorities reported no injuries, a fire marshal said Thursday.

Firefighters arrived in the 1600 block of Pine Grove shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, finding flames coming from a second-story window, Dickinson fire Marshal Norman Hicks said.

The home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. Hicks didn’t know how many people were displaced from the home. Hicks ruled the fire accidental.
