GOP campaign expo to have training sessions

KEMAH — People interested or thinking about running for office but have questions about where to begin and what is involved are invited to the Galveston County Republican Party’s Campaign Expo 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 23 at the Kemah Community Center, 800 Harris Ave.

With the goal of providing candidates of Southeast Texas pertinent information and support, three training sessions will be held during the course of the event.

Guest speakers will include political consultant Allen Blakemore, political fundraiser Dana Benoit and District Judge Lonnie Cox.

The expo also will feature materials both useful and necessary in running an effective campaign.

General admission is $20 and includes a box lunch.

Limited vendor space still is available.
