GALVESTON — Tickets are available online for “Going Green: What’s Old is New Again,” the 2010 Galveston Historic Homes Tour, set for the first two weekends in May.

The Galveston Historical Foundation tour, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 1-2 and 8-9, includes 10 houses, six of which survived the 1900 Storm.

One highlight is “Green Revival House,” a partnership project with the National Trust for Historic Preservation that showcases environmentally sensitive restoration techniques.

Separately ticketed special events in conjunction with the tour include the First Impression Preview evening tour, Lemonade Lunches at the 1933 United States Custom House, art signings by official homes tour artist Eugene Aubry, Basement to Attic behind-the-scenes tours of Bishop’s Palace, Bike through History and Sally Wallace Preservation Awards.

Advance tickets for the tour cost $20 each online and Kroger stores until May 1. Tickets cost $25 per person during the tour weekends. For information, call 409-765-7834.
