Clear Lake Symphony
NAUSSAU BAY — The symphony will present its annual fall “Pops” concert at 7:30 p.m. today at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Road, in Nassau Bay.
The symphony will be under the direction of “Pops” conductor Charles Johnson.
Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased in advance at Eye Trends, 515 Bay Area Blvd., Suite No. 300, in Clear Lake. Adult tickets cost $10, seniors tickets cost $8 and student tickets cost $7.

Galveston Symphony
GALVESTON — The Galveston Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at The Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice St., in Galveston.
The orchestra will celebrate the work of composers Gioachino Antonio Rossini, Johann Sebastian Bach, Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff and Sir Edward William Elgar.
Led by maestro Richard Pickar, the orchestra will complete the concert with “Enigma Variations” by English composer Sir Edward William Elgar.

Royal Fireworks at UHCL
CLEAR LAKE — Handel’s famed “Royal Fireworks” music lights up the Mercury Baroque Ensemble’s season with a concert at 8 p.m. Thursday at the University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Bayou Theater, 2700 Bayou Area Blvd., in Clear Lake.
A complimentary reception will be held afterward. Presale tickets are $10 for general admission and $6 with UHCL ID.

‘Most Valuable Player’

Tourneés Festival at UHCL
CLEAR LAKE — The University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Film & Speaker Series will present the film “Né Le Dis A Personne/Tell No One” at 8 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Bayou Theater, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., in Clear Lake.
“Roman De Gare” or “Crossed Tracks” will be presented at 3 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Student Services and Classroom Building Lecture Hall.
The festival is a part of the French American Cultural Exchange and includes several French films.
