Holiday Lighting Event
GALVESTON — Hotel Galvez will host a free holiday lighting event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the hotel, 2024 Seawall Blvd., in Galveston.
The event kicks off with Santa’s arrival by carriage at 6 p.m.
Entertainment includes the Sacred Heart Church Cantate Youth Choir, Bayou City Pipes and Drums, Galveston Ballet and Galveston College Choir.

Free Concert Band Performance
TEXAS CITY — The College of the Mainland Concert Band, under the direction of Sparky Koerner, will give a free performance at 8 p.m. Monday in the Fine Arts Recital Hall, 1200 Amburn Road, Texas City.
Music includes Anton Dovorak’s “First Movement of the New World Symphony,” “Circle of Life” from “The Lion King.” “Amazing Grace,” “Star Trek Though the Years” and “The Sound of Music.”

Christmas ‘Pops’ Concert
NASSAU BAY — The Clear Lake Symphony will have its annual Christmas Pops concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Road.
Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at Eye Trends, 515 Bay Area Blvd., Suite 300, in Clear Lake. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $7 for students.

GALVESTON — Galveston Independent School District’s All-District play “Willy Wonka” will be at 8 p.m. Dec. 10-12 at the Ball High School Auditorium, 4115 Ave. O.

‘Students On Stage’ Classes
GALVESTON — ETC at The Strand will continue registration for its “Students on Stage” theater education program from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at 2317 Mechanic St.
The program will culminate with a students production in April.
