HITCHCOCK — Local law-enforcement officers and U.S. marshals charged two Galveston County residents Saturday during separate drug busts, officials said.
Detectives seized 18 ecstasy pills in searching an apartment in the 7400 block of State Highway 6 in Hitchcock about 7 a.m., according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Parrish Renee Carraway, 30, of Hitchcock, was charged with manufacturing-delivery of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $100,000.
Sheriff’s deputies also charged a 38-year-old La Marque man with a class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana. The man was accused of having half an ounce of marijuana at his home in the 3000 block of Taylor Street, according to the news release. Bond was set at $1,500.
Officers from Galveston, Santa Fe, La Marque, Texas City and the sheriff’s office were involved in the drug busts.
