Sensat-Knape
Miss Alexis Patricia Sensat and Mr. Steven Chad Knape were united in marriage on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at eight o’clock in the evening in the lighted gazebo at the historic Ashton Villa in Galveston, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Dr. R.L. Calhoun. Michael Myers provided the wedding music and sang “Endless Love.” Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the ballroom of Ashton Villa with music being provided by Galveston’s house band, The Line Up.
The wedding weekend began with a Bridesmaids’ Luncheon, hosted by the bride’s grandmother at The Pelican Club and the rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents at Casey’s of Gaido’s.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa and Leroy Sensat, Jr. She is the granddaughter of Bobby and Patsy Fife and the late Kathleen and Leroy Sensat, Sr.
The groom is the son of Cynthia and Steve Knape. He is the grandson of David and Glenda Murphy, Paul and Jan Robinson, Jerry and Ellamae Greenwood and the late Carvel Knape.
Apryl Kilgo served as matron of honor and Amanda Daigle served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Holly Neumann, Chelsea Knape, and Jacque Biery. Steve Knape served his son as best man. Groomsmen included Leroy “Trey” Sensat III, Brian Murphy, Sean Doyle and Eric Cash. The ring bearer was the bride’s pet sheltie Sam Sensat.
Alexis is a graduate of Texas City High School and University of Houston. She is currently employed as a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Texas City High School.
Chad is a graduate of Texas City High School and is currently enrolled in a four year apprenticeship program in sheet metal through Houston Community College. He is employed with Tennille Inc., in Texas City.
Following a honeymoon cruise to the Florida Keys and Bahamas, the couple resides in Texas City.
