LA MARQUE — Police are looking to question the ex-boyfriend of a woman who was found dead Monday night in what investigators suspect was a domestic killing outside an apartment complex, authorities said Tuesday.
Faith Worthy Guillory, 45, of San Leon, was found in a sport utility vehicle about 8 p.m. dead of a single gunshot wound to the head, La Marque Interim Police Chief Kirk Jackson said.
Police are seeking to interview a man but identified him only as a former boyfriend of Guillory’s, Jackson said.
Emergency dispatchers received a call at 8:07 p.m. and sent officers to an unnamed La Marque apartment complex at 1215 Spruce St., Jackson said.
“Relatives of our person of interest arrived at the apartment and found her in the vehicle and called 911,” Jackson said. “Officers arrived and discovered a white female deceased in her vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.”
The former boyfriend resides in the same apartment complex, Jackson said.
Police haven’t found a weapon and said there were no other visible signs of trauma, Jackson said.
The owner of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer where Guillory’s body was found is not a suspect in the killing, Jackson said.
The results of an autopsy believed to have been performed Tuesday by the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office weren’t immediately known.
La Marque Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips on the slaying at 409-938-8477 or anyone with information can call detective Geoff Price at 409-938-9250, Jackson said.
