Art Show In League City
LEAGUE CITY — The 14th Creative Artisans Art Show continues through Saturday at Walter Hall Park Pavilion, 807 state Highway 3, in League City. The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The show is free and open to the public.

Concert Series Begins Tonight
GALVESTON — The Galveston Island Arts Academy’s Rising Stars series opens at 7 p.m. today at Moody Mansion, 2618 Broadway, Galveston. Tonight’s performance will feature cellist Nikola Ruzevic pianist Lara Putijar Ruzevic playing music from Croatia. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for senior citizens and students. Parade Celebrates Circus In Town
BACLIFF — The Bayside Lion’s Club will have a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday in advance of Carson and Barnes Big Top Circus.
The parade will begin at Clifton’s by the Sea restaurant, Bayshore Drive and Grand Avenue, in Bacliff, and continue down Grand Avenue to Sullivan’s pharmacy.
The circus will be at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday at San Leon Spillway Park on East Bayshore Drive. Tickets are $12 for ages 12 and older; 11 and younger get in free. Parking is free. Children can ride elephants.
