BACLIFF — Detectives with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in finding two men accused in an armed robbery, authorities said Friday.
Deputies were called at 11:49 a.m. Oct. 7 to the 900 block of Grand Avenue in Bacliff and learned two men confronted a woman in a business parking lot, sheriff’s office spokesman Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo said.
One man held the woman against her car while the other pointed a gun at her. Authorities provided a sketch of the gunman. The men fled with several thousand dollars in cash. The woman wasn’t injured, Tuttoilmondo said.
Witnesses described the gunman as a Hispanic in his late teens to early 20s. He stood from 5-feet, 4-inches to 5-feet, 6-inches tall, had a thin build and wore a brown stocking cap, gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, Tuttoilmondo said.
The second suspect was possibly in his 20s, from 5-feet, 10-inches to 6 feet tall, had a stocky build and wore a dark stocking cap and a long-sleeved pullover shirt.
The men drove a 1990s gray Ford extended-cab pickup with tinted windows, Tuttoilmondo said.
Tuttoilmondo asked anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office at 866-248-8477 or 409-766-2322.
