Maier-Wallen
Theresa Maier and Harvey Maier of Santa Fe, Texas would like to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Alana Lynne Maier to Christopher Edward Wallen, the son of Carol and Edward Wallen of Clear Lake, Texas.
The bride’s grandparents are Mrs. Luciana Cesarini-Farrar and the late D.J. Farrar of Lake Jackson, Texas; and Harvey Maier, Sr. and the late Varnell Magee Maier of Mt. Hermon, Louisiana.
The groom’s grandparents are the late Earl and Opal Wallen and Avril Wilson of Clear Lake, Texas.
Alana is a 2000 graduate of Santa Fe High School. She is currently pursing a teaching degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake, pending graduation in May 2010.
Chris is a 2002 graduate of Pearland High School and a 2008 graduate of University of Houston-Clear Lake, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Chris is employed at Hilcorp Energy Company in downtown Houston, Texas.
Chris proposed to Alana on January 12, 2009, while standing in front of the St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana. He presented her with the diamond engagement ring that his grandmother had left to him. Chris refurbished and customized the engagement/wedding ring set himself in white gold to ensure a perfect fit for his bride-to-be.
Chris’s parents presented the couple with a weeklong honeymoon stay in Hawaii.
