GALVESTON — Ten restored lofts in downtown Galveston are showing off their best faces — and private spaces — this weekend during the Downtown Lofts Tour.
Each building and private loft has a unique character, design and owner’s style.
Featured stops include a loft dedicated to the memory of Elvis, to an elegant loft decorated with rich antiques, an efficiency loft bachelor pad and the home of one of Galveston’s best gumbo chefs.
This year the Downtown Lofts Tour also will feature open houses, including The Thompson Lofts, The 2208 Postoffice Street Lofts and The Nathan Building Lofts, which aren’t yet owned or occupied.
Proceeds benefit the Historic Downtown Strand Seaport Partnership.
