Wayne C. Martin
Wayne C. Martin passed away on October 27, 2009 at the age of 78. He was born in Flatwoods, Louisiana, on September 22, 1931, and made Houston his home for more than 30 years.
Wayne will be remembered as an avid historian, honored teacher, respected literary genius, and an intellectual encouragement and influence to many. Wayne, who is survived by his two sisters Carrie Elliot and Flo Watkins leaves behind many colleagues and former students, all who were touched in some way by his zeal.
Wayne’s final resting will be The Abbey Mausoleum on the grounds of Forest Park Lawndale.
