Carter-Lawrence
Miss Lauren Diane Carter and Mr. Jeromy Ray Lawrence were united in marriage on Saturday, October seventeenth at the First United Methodist Church in Dickinson, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Jim Jackson and Brother Ron Clark. Selected readings were shared by Regina Carter and Judy Bettison. A reception followed at Bay Oaks Country Club in Clear Lake.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garry Carter of Santa Fe, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Carter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bell. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lawrence of Dickinson, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Stieler and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Palzer. Also, he is the grandson of the late Mr. Gus Prochazka and the late Mr. Jesse Lawrence. Judith Mortimor is an honorary grandmother.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown with a V-neckline and bodice decorated with swarovski crystals and embroidery. An asymmetrical draping crossed over the waist to meet an A-length train. To compliment her gown, the bride wore a one tier, waist length veil. She carried a unique, contemporary bouquet which included roses, hydrangea, hypericum berries, calcynia and an artichoke for accent.
Lindsey Woods, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Jones, Megan Bettison, Traci Howard and Kaley Smith. Jr. Bridesmaids were Rachel and Emily Pate. Natalie Pate served as Flower Girl.
Best Man was Joshua Lawrence, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jerad Lawrence, David Hardy, Brian Jefferson and Mitch Carrol. Andrew Smith served as Ring Bearer. Ushers were Ryan Quinn and Brayton Stafford.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Santa Fe High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Health Administration. She is employed as an Assistant Administrator at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, Texas.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Santa Fe High School and a 2008 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Business. He is employed as a manufacturing supervisor with Protection Devices, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Baja California, the couple will reside in New Braunfels, Texas.
