The Galveston County Recovery Fund would like congregations of no more than 350 members to know it still has funds to help religious organizations that sustained significant damage during Hurricane Ike.
That includes grants of up to $10,000 for restoring facilities and outreach programs or replacing technology, furnishings and supplies lost in the storm.
“Thanks to generous supporters such as the Permanent Endowment Fund at Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church, the Galveston County Recovery Fund has the honor and blessing to provide assistance to churches in their recovery post-Ike,” spokeswoman Trudy Deen Davis said.
