TEXAS CITY — Police are asking for tips to learn the whereabouts of a man accused of abducting his girlfriend, authorities said Thursday.
Bond for Xavier Mario Cisneros, 29, of Friendswood, was set at $100,000 on a charge of aggravated kidnapping, Texas City police Sgt. Joe Stanton said.
A witness phoned police after seeing a man force a woman into a black Lincoln Town Car at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of Texas Avenue, Stanton said. The witness provided police with the license plate number, Stanton said.
The man drove away, but the woman was found safe at noon at her relative’s house, Stanton said. An ambulance crew treated the woman for minor injuries, Stanton said.
Crime Stoppers offered a $500 reward for information leading to Cisneros’ arrest, Stanton said. Stanton asked anyone with information on Cisneros’ whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 409-945-8477.
