Williamson 50th Wedding Anniversary
Frances and Gordon Williamson of League City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
The couple met at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas in 1956, where Gordon was stationed. Then Gordon had a permanent change of station to Shiroi and Masawa Air Force Base, Japan from October 1956 to October 1958. During this time, Frances and Gordon corresponded through their letters. They were reunited and married in the Kindley Air Force Base Chapel in Bermuda. They lived in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.; Santa Cruz, California; and then moved to League City in July 1979.
The Williamson’s have four daughters: Pauline Williamson Fox and husband William, Margaret Dewey and husband David, Rhonda McCloud and husband Ronald, and Julia Savell and husband Aaron.
They have ten grandchildren: Rhianna Smith and husband Russell, Melissa Johnson and husband Michael, Krystal Dewey, Kelli Williamson, Ronald McCloud, Ryland McCloud, Chaz De Grate, Tiffany Berry, Randall Berry, Kacie Dewey; and one great grand-daughter Melodi Williamson.
The Williamson’s four daughters presented Frances and Gordon with a classic Europe vacation package. To our parents, who sacrificed to make our dreams come true, we dedicated ourselves to your dream to visit Europe come true!
