GALVESTON — LeVerne Rosemary Russell Bolton passed from this life surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at UTMB. Mrs. Bolton was born December 22, 1926, in Galveston, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind many memories and will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan R. Russell of Galveston; by her husband of 49 years, Walter Charles Bolton; and by her brother, Harlan Russell, Jr. Survivors include her children, Ronald Walter Bolton and wife, Michele; Randall Guy Bolton and wife, Cecelia; and Dane Joseph Bolton; grandchildren, Dale, Christy, Alan, Derek, Erica, Natalie, and Melonie; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Abby, and Adalyn; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Malloy & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at Malloy & Son Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, with Father Bill Bartniski officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hitchcock.
Pallbearers will be Dale Bolton, Alan Bolton, Derek Bolton, Gabe Peterek, Michael Gartee, Chris Robertson, and Bradley Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101 or the Animal Shelter and Adoption Center of Galveston, 6814 Broadway.
Special thanks to Dr. Anita Mercado, Dr. Michael Boyars, the geriatrics staff at UTMB, and the Hospice Care Team of Texas City who helped make her final days as comfortable as possible.
