Oak Tree Festival set for this weekend

LEAGUE CITY — The League City Heritage Foundation will have its 15th annual Oak Tree Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at League Park, 500 E. Main St.
The festival seeks to preserve the history of the city. All proceeds will go toward scholarships and various charities.
There will be free children’s activities, live music and performances, a moonwalk, pie baking contest, silent auction, face painting and laser tag. The Houston Aeros will be in the park on Sunday. Admission is free.
Performances will include a mix of classic rock and country music, with dancers and martial arts demonstrations.
