Lemmond-Short
Katherine Kelley Lemmond and Curtis Wayne Short were united in marriage May 16, 2009 at Grace Episcopal Church in Galveston, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Diane Lemmond, Jr. of Santa Fe, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late Evelyn and Terrence Lemmond Sr. of La Marque, Texas and Raymond Macik of La Marque, Texas, and Billie Macik of Austin, Texas.
The groom is the son of Calvin and Linda Short of Baytown, Texas. He is the grandson of Elbert and Ann Albritton of Huntsville, Texas, the late Simmie and Louise Short of Baytown, Texas.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Harbor Room at Fisherman’s Wharf in Galveston, Texas.
Members of the House Party were Gina Kearley and Julie Arnold.
Bailey Walkup served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Phillips, Kim Hill, Kelly Rollins and Heather Hipp. Flower girls were Kelsey Phillips and Cecilia Short, niece of the groom.
Mike Short, brother of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Hill, Kalan Lyra and Trey Lemmond, brother of the bride. Ring bearers were Keaton Gonzalez and Alec Short, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Matt Walkup and Tyler Lemmond, brother of the bride.
Kelley is a 2001 graduate of Santa Fe High School and a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University. She is a fourth grade teacher for the Santa Fe Independent School District.
Curtis is a 2001 graduate of Baytown Christian Academy and is a Cost Tracker for Ohmstede Industrial Services.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas the couple will reside in Santa Fe, Texas.
