The Lady Coogs won their first two games of the Fort Bend tournament, defeating Seven Lakes, 46-44, and Jersey Village, 38-33.
Against Seven Lakes, Jaleesa Allen led the way with 18 points. Also scoring for the Lady Coogs were Brianna Lewis (13), Kiani Promise (six), Michael Hurst (four), Jesseika Palmer (three) and Precious Payne (two).
Against Jersey Village, Palmer had a team-high 12 points, while Allen scored nine and Promise had eight points and nine rebounds.
