Rygaard 60th Wedding Anniversary
Pete and Mary Lou Rygaard celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Pete and Mary Lou were married in Galveston, Texas on August 26, 1949 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. They moved to the mainland, raised their family in La Marque and currently reside in Dickinson.
Pete and Mary Lou, have five children: Pete, III and wife Denise; Dennis and wife Babs; Terri Foreman and husband Jack; Donita Brannon and husband Barry; and Ricky and wife Lanie. They have 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pete and Mary Lou are members of Faith Lutheran Church in Dickinson, where they were honored during the service on August 23rd and received a special Anniversary Blessing by Pastor Deb Grant. Pete and Mary Lou provided an Altar arrangement of Roses and Bird of Paradise. The service was attended by 39 immediate family members, including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A family luncheon followed at Cabo’s Grill in Texas City.
