Odd logic in definitions of capitalism

The common thread appearing in recent guest columns by Ivana Atkins, Matthew White and Octavia Carstarphen at first appears to be simple ignorance in understanding capitalism.
White’s definition of socialism sounded oddly capitalistic, stating that, “as originally defined,” it “stressed worker ownership of businesses” and that “individuals who accomplish more earn more.”
The ladies told us that President Obama forcing government health care upon us is really a capitalist spreading capitalism.
What strangely feels like the Twilight Zone appears to be another attempt to redefine the world around us.
Carstarphen’s example failed to mention that Henry Ford and his employees had freedom to choose. Her conclusion that “spreading the risks is pure capitalism” is simply more government control and servitude through taxation.
When I was a kid, we heard about communist “brainwashing,” a term that never made a lot of sense until they started calling it “political correctness.”
Something that sounded complicated really was quite simple when explained by Vladimir Lenin — “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.” Democrats never voted overwhelmingly for the Iraq war, a man and woman procreating life has nothing to do with defining marriage, man-made global warming, er, climate change, um, global cooling really does exist, Islamic fundamentalism has nothing to do with the massacre at Foot Hood, 10 percent unemployment is the new normal, we’re having a “jobless recovery” (is that like a paintless paint job?) and, now, government-mandated health care and nationalizing industry is capitalism and Obama is a capitalist.
White unwittingly reinforced my argument about socialist deceit by saying that Hitler and Stalin used “socialist” when it was “a nice word to cover up their true intentions” but stopping short of saying what their “true intentions” were.
It was socialism.
White desperately sought to separate socialism from communism and fascism with semantic nonsense, an impossible task, as there’re grown from the same collectivist seed. He actually argued that Hitler and Stalin didn’t get socialism right, so they don’t count.
Clearly, White gathers his “facts” from such “impeccably unbiased” sources as Media Matters, Keith Olbermann, Daily Kos and Bill Maher, then uses them to condemn Fox News. Huh? His lack of logic makes him the poster child for “brainwashed.”
Vladimir Lenin stated, “The goal of Socialism is Communism.” Hitler proved that socialism also leads to fascism.
History has shown us that the final structures of socialist governments form to the idiosyncrasies of the political opportunist who rise to the top.
This is evident from the varied tyrannical rules of elected socialists Adolph Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Mussolini, Hugo Chavez, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Fidel Castro and the pot-bellied socialist monarch of North Korea. No other ideology has produced more totalitarian dictatorships that have been so proficient in the oppression and murder of a populace.
