Ballunar Festival set to lift off Oct. 23

HOUSTON — The 16th annual RE/MAX Ballunar Festival is set for Oct. 23-25 at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
The festival will include more than 70 hot air balloons in competitions throughout the weekend.
The navigational competitions largely are based on the pilot’s skills in meteorology and math. The festival is designed to entertain and also to encourage young people’s interest in math and science.
Tickets start at $10 per carload and includes a NASA Open House from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 24. For details, visit www.ballunarfestival.com.
