“It’s easier said than done; our hands are tied, too,” Tuttoilmondo said. “It’s a matter of if we can make a criminal case.”

If I hear one more cop say "our hands are tied" I'm gonna scream. That must be the first word's they learn in Police School.Gambling is wide open and someone is making big tax free buck's.and it's seems like we might have some trickle down going on.

How can you in good consious know of something Illigal and let it go on. You and your leaders are guilty of dereliction of duty.

As a matter of fact since you let this place run wide open and you knew it was dangeous from other Gambling Joint's getting robbed. You might be subject to a suit over allowing this to go on. I hope someone sue's the pants off the county.

Maggie I understand your frustration...

But filing a suit against the county because people frequent illegal gambling halls seems a little extreme.

The "people" frequenting these places need to realize that they are dealing in a black market...

and bad things happen in black market establishments.

Granted the PD SHOULD do something to curb this kind of crime, but it is not the PD's fault that criminals PREY ON BLACK MARKET INDUSTRIES.

"IF" the people didn't create the market for these establishments, do you think they would exist?

answer=NO.

Same with the drug trade in "the cliff".

If demand wasn't so high {pun intended} then the supply would not be there.

it's simple economics actually.

Ray Tuttoilmondo is a very agressive Law Enforcement Officer.

IF there were any grounds for him to "file a case" on someone.. he damned sure would do it.

Mr. Tut is one of the "good guys", try not to "beat him up too badly". Gal. Co. could use MORE of the likes of "mr tut".

This is the one of the biggest reasons to legalize gambling in Texas. Keep people at home instead of the bucks going to Louisiana and have it enforced as it should be.

Remind me please why there is no casino gambling in Texas?

Remember the "Pride of Galveston" and the other off-shore gambling ship? I remember when they first arrive in Galveston and almost every cruise was filled, then things started dwindling. I think one of the problems with the Pride was that it still had such an outstanding debt while in Mississippi, it just couldn't recover.

I remember when Gulf Greyhound Park first opened, there were large crowds all the time, now the place is closed more than it is opened.
