TEXAS CITY — Wydell Dixon, founder of Whiskerville Animal Sanctuary, is attempting to appeal last week’s ruling that the nearly 200 cats seized from the shelter should stay with county animal control.

These photographs of Whiskerville Animal Sanctuary were taken Jan. 3 by Texas City law enforcement officers while animal control seized nearly 200 cats. The photographs were entered as evidence by the Galveston County district attorney’s office at a Jan. 17 hearing.

The Daily News obtained the pictures through the Texas Public Information Act.
