Engagement Announcements

Congratulations on your engagement! It is customary to publish an engagement announcement one to three months before the wedding date. The Daily News will accept and publish engagement announcements up to one year before the wedding, providing a date or approximate time (late fall, for example) has been set.

The easiest way to submit your publication is to send your information over the web. Choose from one of the following options:

Complimentary Listings: Free
Includes basic information about the couple, their parents and the expected date of the wedding.

Option 1: $55
A complimentary listing, plus a one-column photograph. Example

Option 2: $65
Announcement lists grandparents, plus a one-column photograph. Example

Option 3: $75
A full announcement includes grandparents, attendants, ushers and personal descriptions of the bride and groom, plus a one-column photograph. Example

Option 4: $100
A full announcement, plus a two-column photograph. Example

Option 5: $140
A custom announcement with a two-column photograph, allowing for any additional information up to 11 inches.

Printed forms are also available at both Daily News offices located at 8522 Teichman Road in Galveston and at 7800 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City. Or, you may contact us at (409) 683-5224 or (800) 561-3611, Ext. 5224, to request a submission form be faxed or mailed to you.

Completed, printed forms should be faxed to (409) 744-7679 or mailed to: Announcements, c/o Galveston County Daily News, 8522 Teichman Road, Galveston, Texas 77554.

The deadline is 10 a.m. Monday, six days prior to the Sunday on which you'd like your announcement published.

No additional copy, forms or substitutions please. The Daily News is not responsible for content, omissions or errors on forms. Announcements are subject to editing.

Photographs

Photograph prints must be 3x5 or 5x7 studio portrait (color or black and white) with plain background. Polaroid or soft focus photographs do not print well. We do not accept photographs electronically at this time.

Please mail or deliver your photographs to: Announcements, c/o Galveston County Daily News, 8522 Teichman Road, Galveston, Texas 77554.

Photographs are returned if complete mailing address is on the back of the photograph and a self-addressed stamped envelope is included. Use only full, formal names and addresses.
